Description of the correction method of machine vise
2021-09-15
Machine vise is a kind of machine tool accessory, also known as flat-nose pliers, which is generally installed on the workbench of machine tools such as milling machines, drilling machines, minotaur planers and surface grinders.Compared with fitter vise, machine vise has wide and low jaws, large clamping force, and high accuracy requirements. There are many types of machine vise, which can be divided into ordinary and precision types according to accuracy.Precision type is used for surface grinding machines, boring machines and other finishing machine tools.According to the structure of the machine vise, it can be divided into rotary type with base, fixed type without base, and tiltable type. The movable jaws of the machine vise also use pneumatic, hydraulic or eccentric cams to drive fast clamping.
When the workpiece is clamped with a machine-made vise, the fixed jaws of the machine-made vise should find a position perpendicular to or parallel to the direction of movement of the workbench to ensure the verticality or parallelism of the machine-made vise to be processed. Description of the correction method of the machine-made vise:
1. Use an angle ruler to correct: place the base of the angle ruler close to the vertical rail surface of the machine tool.Use the wings of the angle ruler to inspect the fixed jaws and turn the flat-nose pliers so that the fixed jaws and the angle ruler are in the same straight line.
2. Use the knife shaft to find the alignment: Raise the workbench so that the fixed jaw iron edge is on one side of the knife shaft and turn the machine vise so that the fixed jaw and the knife shaft are in the same straight line, and the alignment should be carried out at the root of the knife shaft as much as possible.
3. Use the return needle to find the correction: Clamp the needle slightly on the knife shaft washer, move the workbench back and forth, calibrate the fixed jaw with the top of the needle and rotate the vise for the machine.Keep looking for the direction of movement of the workbench parallel to each other until it is straightened.
4. Use a dial indicator to correct: Fix the dial indicator (or lever meter) on the tool shaft or machine tool, use the contacts of the meter to close to the fixed jaws, move the workbench back and forth and rotate the vise for the machine, and keep it straight until it is required. So far.
5. When the verticality of the workpiece is required to be high, the lifting table needs to be moved to correct the verticality of the fixed jaws of the machine vise.
